Default 95 mustang error codes

so when I go to put a tape in my tape player it is rough going in and when it goes down it says error 1 and then it tries pushing it back out but it gets jammed. I then try pushing it back down and it says error 2 I then have to pull it out with pliers. Anyone have any ideas?

you can try disconnecting power to it to see if it will reset but it sounds like your loading mechanism took a dump.

Any way to fix the loading mechanism or am I better off replacing it?

there is always a way to fix it......
