Do the amps not need air to stay cool? Just curious cause it looks like they are sealed in there real good.

Your not nit-picking. That was actually my first idea, but my friend likes to fish on occasion and needed to keep his pass through,

We looked at that exact setup, but if would have taken a lot of the flexibility away from the storage capacity of the car.

We are both engineers so we considered every option we could think of.

We left the edges open in order to allow the amps to breathe and we could also add fans if needed.

ok cool. yea i kinda figured that if he wanted as much trunk space as possible, the pass through would probably be useful. and besides it still looks GOOD, yet is still functional.

That is a temporary box. The fiberglass box he purchased has a grill.

cool. yea the pass through would definitely help with the fishing poles. OR a beater pickup lol. so where is the fiberglass box going to go? and what kind of grille did the box come with?

It is called the 4080 box, it is made to fit in the rear pocket on the drivers side in the trunk. It just comes with a plain looking mesh plastic grill.
