I was busy Fri./Sat. working out of town.
My next step will be to find someone to install, I haven't done any stereo work since the early 80's.
Our initial plan was to buy a piece at a time as he got the money, but
I like your suggestions and think I may buy the whole package and have him make payments to me.

Your the coolest dad. Hold him to it though!

Where are you located, I am sure we can find someone or a place that can do some excellent work for you. And as we always try to, at a decent price too!

We live in a small town in the middle of Missouri, about 40 miles N.E. of Columbia.
I"m thinking I should go for the install myself, what are your thoughts?? I haven't taken apart the interior of a newer car but if I can get to the areas I need to, with the guidance of the experienced people on this site, I think I can do it.
What do you guy's think, should this audio newbie try it?

You can never learn if you don't get out there and try.

I was a newb at one point and sadly my pathfinder still suffers from impatient 17 year old shows of strength.

If I were you I would also take it on yourself.

Not alot you need...

Wire crimps
Chilton/Haynes of the Mustang, helps you find those weird fasteners holding on certain panels and so forth
And aside form building the box, it's mostly running and connecting wires

Be a way to learn something new, or refresh your memory it seems. And something that doesn't really seem like it but, valuable to the kid in his eyes. Whats the worst that is going to happen, you'll mess something up and correct it until it's right. There isn't too much I can think of you could mess up thats irreversable.

It'll be fun
