88 radio problems

88 radio problems
i have an 88 lx, theres no radio in it now, and i have two radios i could put in, a radio out of an 87 ranger, and a 2004 6 disc cd changer out of a mustang, id like to drop in the second one, are there any adapter kits for that? in additoin to the that problem, someone cut the plug to the radio, dont know why, but i have one plug, i guess theres supposed to be another plug because theres cut wires and the 87 radio still has room for another plug.
does anyone know how i can fix it, i used to have a 01 gt convert. i took the amps out of that car so id like to incorporate that into it. would the best thing to do is go back to the car and strip out the whole sound sysetm harness?
