Default 05+ Mustang DoubleDin HU

Has anynone installed a Double Din HU that's NOT a LCD screen? basically just a plain old deck that's DD on a 05+ Mustang?

If so, can you post pics?

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm wondering why you'd do that

Because some of us don't have $800+ to spend on a Nav/DVD deck.

There are several very nice DD HUs that aren't video. They are nice because they provide more feature buttons and screen sizes than a single din. Kenwood has three or four with various capabilities. I can definitely see why someone who doesn't want a video screen would install one.

Thank you capitain obvious

J/K

I test fitted an Alpine CDA-9853 that came off my '02 GT on my '05 and it looked out of place; there's too much empty real estate in that area for a single DIN unit.

I found this Clarion HU that seems to match the interior of the S197 pretty decently:

and there's this JVC, specs look nice (3 Pre-Amp Outs, Burr Brown DACs, Bluetooth capable) but I'm not crazy about JVC car audio stuff...
