So I'v got the Mach 460 that came in '04 Mach 1's, and it should play mp3's. (correct me if I'm wrong on anything here) So I burn a cd-r full of mp3's, and pop it into the HU. Starts reading, then comes up "CD Rom" then ejects it. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? You can't easily get factory mp3 cd's, so is it the brand, or the fact that the cd-r's are colored (green, red, ect.)?

i dont know about the mach1 stangs but my 02 gt with the mach460 will not play mp3's. it will play burnt wave files but not mp3's.

 

no it will not play mp3s...buy an aftermarket that will

 

Some Mach cd players will play MP3's, easiest way to tell if yours will, look at the CD player and it will say Mach MP3 on it.

 

i thought those cd players only came w/ the mach 1000 systems?

 

I believe so but I'm not the best one to ask about it.

 

can you throw a mach1000 head unit in there or would you need the whole shabang if you wanted the head unit? i'm getting sick of having 30 cds in my center console. i'd rather have 2 loaded with mp3s.
