Default need help installing head unit on 01 stang

I already have a new Pioneer head unit and I need help on getting started. I don't want to break anything, I want to know how to properly remove pieces so I can remove the stock head unit and then I can go from there. It's all stock, no mach anything.

You need some radio removal tools. They are two little U-shaped pieces of wire with a little hook on the end, and they go in the 4 holes on the left and right side of the factory radio. You can pick these tools up from Kragen/BB/the dealer for like $5. Sometimes a coat hanger works, but I tried to be cheap and ended up busting my stock radio, so I don't recommend it. Just get the tools. Then you can unplug the harnesses from the back of the radio. Do you have the adapter harness that plugs into the Ford harness in the car?
