Well since you only have a budget of $600. This is the way I would go.

I would go with the Rockford Fosgate P3 1000 Watt/500RMS Series. I would try to go with the 2 ohm but if you sticking to you $600 budget, 4 ohms are solid. I gave you the link to a seller on ebay who sells p3's. I looked at his items for sale, I don't see any 2 ohms. You can e-mail him though.

Then to power these subs, go with a JL Audio Amplifier 500/1. I would tell you to go with the 1000/1 series but again your on a budget. The JL's are top flight and i have never had a problem with their amplifiers. The 500/1 will slam those subs. You can get one on ebay usually for $225-$350(depending on seller)

I read where you said your gonna build a box for $25? Remember your subs are just as good as your box and wiring. If you go cheap on the box and wiring. Then I would hold off, til you can raise more funds. A good place that sells wiring(and top of the line) www.darvex.com. Also, powering these subs, will put a drain on your alternator and battery. I would also pick up a .5 or 1 farad compacitor.

also,

if your going for looks and want the 2 sub enclosure look then nevermind what I'm about to tell you. But you can get a 10" W7 JL Audio Sub that pushes 1000 watts/500 RMS. You would only have one sub due to the fact it will cost you around $250-$300. But sounds just as good if not better then 2 rockford fosgate p3 subs. Plus you can keep some of your trunk space. Hope this helps

Well he is asking for advice, and this is the best advice I can give him. If you don't agree then that's fine. No need to make a useless post. Thank You!

The new rockford subs are garbage, don't buy them.

JL amps are great, but not worth the cost/watt.

Buy yourself a couple ED 13KV2's and an nine.2 or nine.2x and you should be under budget with a great sub setup.

Do you have an amp for the comps yet, you will need one.
