01 gt radio question

Default 01 gt radio question

In my car 2001 gt non mach 460 i have the am/fm/cd/cass radio. I want to change it and put in the ford radio that has the in dash 6 disk changer is this possible do they all have the same connectors or is this project not gonna work...?

its kind of a pain. You have to buy the adapter and then you have to wire it up to the speakers. I never heard of anyone doing this before but I would talk to an car audio specialist. Dont ask ford cuz they'll make you buy stuff that you dont need.

Just got off the phone with my local ford dealership and they said it would plug in fine and no mods would be needed beause they made that radio with 2 options with or without mach 460. I guess ill find out when i get the radio though.

Ok just hooked up the radio i was talking about and it worked but i have no bass in the speakers, even when i turn it up all the way still no bass comes out. Any ideas on why this is happening do i need something else....?
