I already ordered the dual 4 13kv.2, does that matter as to what amp would be better for me? If not, I'm thinking about about ordering the Profile HA1000.

If you already purchased the dual 4 ohm version, you must buy an amp that is 2 ohm stable. Here are your cheap options....

http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2840$69

http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2553$84

http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2552$97

The choice is yours, however, if you buy a profile amp that doesn't end in M, don't expect it to last very long.

I have another question. Enclosed or vented? Which would you rather have?

Vented will generally give mroe volume with a sacrifice in SQ. For a good combination of the two, try a ported box with a tunign frequency a hair above 30hz.

I have tried searching, but I can't figure it out, how do you tune a box?

The port lengh and port area both play a role. Keeping the port area the same, you would increase the lengh of the port to lower tuning frequency.

www.bcae1.com has some great enclosures calculations!

So, should I stick with an enclosed box, then? Or was that supposed to confuse the hell out of me?

I really don't care about SQ too much and I really want internal organ/car shaking bass so I think I'm going to go with the vented box. But is that box design too open and going to sound terrible?

I have a couple 8's that used to be in a ported box and I've also played with just about every sub I have in a ported box and it doesn't sound terrible.

Just make sure you tune it low.
