Default Getting a System

I've decided on getting the Eclipse CD1000 head unit, a 13kv.2 (dual 4), and a profile HA1040. Will the sub work well with that amp?

It's hard to read, but here is the diagram I used, but I am only doing half of it.

How do you think it will sound? Deep or tight and punchy?

Also, how should I wire the amp and sub? I've never done it before.

Consider going higher with the Eclipse deck, the CD2000 is like $20 more and is much better than the CD1000.

It's $40 more. Not much, but seeing as I am 15 and don't have a job... Would it be possible to run the amp and sub off the stock '89 head unit until I get some extra cash for the better one?

You can and it'll sound like crap, plus you will have to buy a LOC which is around $20-30. You should just wait period until you buy the better headunit.

That is great advice. Wait to get the good stuff.

I've decided it's time to order the stuff, but I have a few questions.

I am getting the E.D. 13KV.2, What's the difference between the dual 2 and dual 4 voice coils?

I watched the little video on the website, and it said to use a vented box 1.2-1.5 cubic feet, will it still sound good in a bigger box? Or better?

What Profile amp should I get? Does it have to be mono? The video said to stay between 300-500 watts. Would it be alright to get one with 1000 watts so if I decide to add another sub I wouldn't need another amp?

Thanks for your help so far!

How bad do you think the distortion would be if I did that?

With an amp that is rated higher than the sub, would bridging blow it or anything?
