i have an 07 GT coupe with a shaker 500 system. this stereo is plenty of sound for me, but later down the line if it becomes insufficent... i need to know if the stangs w/the shaker 500 are prewired for the shaker 1000 extras or if i have to do it myself.

i am under the impression that all the shaker 1000 is is just a shaker 500 w/a rack of sub woofers and amps. is this true??

some of you may be wondering "why go through all the trouble? why not go aftermarket?" well, i like to keep things as stock as possible until the warranty experation date as to not void any warranties.

so if anyone knows if i could just bolt in the shaker 1000 components to a shaker 500 system please let me know. and if this is a stupid idea and its impossible, take it easy on me, i'm kind of a newby to ford.

No the Shaker 1000 will not bolt in with shaker 500. I would go ahead do full aftermarket.
