Default carpeting a box

I just built a box last week for 2 10s to fit in my 03 GT. When I first built it, I was gonna paint it black to match the car, but now I want to carpet it. I've never done this before. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy the carpet and any techniques to apply it? I'll post some pics later

I look for interior or trim shops for the best selection.

Carpeting a box is normally not a really hard process. Figure out which sides will be visiable, and start from that side. If you don't like it, you can rip it off........

I actually carpet my box pieces before assembly. I tuck the excess around the side and staple. I also use silicone caulk around the sub holes, where the screws for the sub will set in. I think the combination of the screws in mdf and silicon caulk make it a tighter fit. However, for the person who hasnt built 30+ boxes, I would go with Crutchfields guide. Theres also a hell of alot more things to go wrong, screwing into a staple, over caulking, caulking bleeding through, etc. Do you have a friend that knows how?

The only friend I have that would know is on vacation for another week or so. I like the idea of carpeting the panels before assembling them. Wish I would have thought of that when I was putting it together. I found the carpet from a shop that did my tint. I checked out crutchfeld's guide and I think I'll try it today. Thanks for all the advice.

the carpet is cut 1.5 inches to big so there is .75 on each side
that .75 is stapled every 3-5 inches on every side of the box.i screw the bottom and back very tight, caulk the hell out of every contact point, and repeat on all other sides. i do the face of the box the last, where i inject caulk into the contact points before fully tightening the screws. its pretty easy really. I cant carpet the normal way to save my life. I think adding caulk to the ring around teh sub holes gives it a little more vaccum kind of effect.
