Go with a stock ford alternator. It puts out 14.5 volts. An aftermarket alternator from a parts house is usually in the 13s. The stock alternator will work just fine for the mach system.

Your alternator is screaching? Interesting. Are you having any issues with your voltage dipping when the car is running and the mach bumping? Or starting issues because of a dead battery?

Personally I wouldn't want to spend the money on an alternator unless it wasn't doing it's job. I could think of tons of things I would rather spend the money on. But if you really insist on it, you can get them rebuilt for higher amperage for fairly cheap rather than buying a new one.

Your stock audio system is causing no ill effects to your alt.

It could be a bad bearing, bad brushes, who knows, but I would replace the alt.
