Default Help with my radio

Hey guys
I just got my 00GT yesterday and when I was taking out the CD player that came with it I had and arc with the positive and negative wires coming off the factory harness!
Now when I try to wire everything up i get no power to the head unit? Its not a fuse and if I run a test light all the way from the negative of the battery to make sure I'm getting a good ground the light does not come on for the constant power or the switched power?!?!?!
Any Suggestions???

Thanks in advance
Charlie Williams

i have worked with all kinds of car electronicsfor 3 years. i think the jls would be niceand either a 550/1 or a 500/2 amp. I never install anything over rms on ANY jl product. the life span shortens quickly.
