Default Amp Pop

I installed an Alpine CDA-9855 to replace my shaker 500. The wiring harness best buy gave me has 2 RCA jacks on it, and 2 amp remote wires. Now, I don't quite understand why there are 2 remote amp wires, but i hooked them both to the remote line coming from my head unit and plugged the RCA's into my sub pre-amp. Now when putting power to the headunit the amp pops what seems to me like the subs in the doors.

Can anyone help me eliminate the pop? Should both amp remotes be hookedup?

Lol, I thought I read through both but I guess I didn't.. Sorry about that..

I called scosche tech line and he suggested tapping it to the 12v line. I'm gonna give that a shot, if that doesn't work, looks like i'll be running to radio shack.
