there ARE 8s in the doors unfortunatly here nobody drives domestics so I have not worked on one yet.

 

the closest one that i could find are forgate punch... after all the plastic crap has been taken off the magnet...but the magnet still hits the back of the enclosure.... so still looking

 

how much depth is there?

Not really a drastic performance increase, but definatly better. Your not going to see much improvement anyway you look at it using a bigger, better woofer without upgrading your amps as well. I have heard alot of people with blown 8's in the BMW's swapping with these and the results are just what they were looking for especially at $15 a piece.

 

Yeah I have the amps to push them I have replaced everything in the car other than the 8s ... what was a shock is that the factory ones are dual voice coil.... I have way to much amp for the car but i like the way it looks with the old school orions

Thats about as beefy of an 8" woofer your going to find on the market, atleast under a few hundred dollars.

 

That's a sub woofer, not a woofer.

A woofer is also known as a midrange, and will have a lot of treble, unlike a sub woofer which will have none.
