Rocker Switches, ideas?
I was at the hardware store today and saw some really neat looking rocker switches, which got me thinking... you know those three buttons right behind your stick that control your TCS Off, Fogs, and your defrosters? I want to replace the buttons with rocker switches. I have reasons for this, and they may be sensicall... but first off....
It'd look plain out badass.
Secondly, I can't help but wonder if there are electronics that force the button for TCS back to off everytime your car turns back on(note, if you watch the switch, it's on when you first start it up, but it turns off). Ifthe car sends that same signal to the rocker switch which will still be "On", will it just stay on for me to turn it off when I need it off like normal meaning the rocker switch will constantly need switching (causing a lack of uniformity in which way is on and off for the set of switches), or will it force it to be on if it's on, and make the TCS stay off if it's in the off position (switch on, TCS off, I'm even confused... sorry if you guys are)...
basically, I wouldn't mind finding a way to MAKE TRAC OFF stay on when I start my car, and I'm thinking changing the switches might help, but I want to know if it's only going to hurt. Also, I planned on painting that center console, so I figure I should do this mod first, getting the cutout made and then fabricate a black panel for the switches to mount... might also do some looking into whether or not that fan switch one of the guys made on this forum might fit into the picture too. Basically, I want that hardcore look, but I can't help but wonder how much functional benefit I'd get.
Thoughts?

Bad idea really. You don't want to leave it on and drain the battery, etc.
I do like rocker switches though.
The only thing I can really justify putting on a rocker switch is car stereo stuff, especially the head unit, so you can just rocker switch it whenever you want.
That and relocating the trunk and gas tank to the drive side so you don't have to unlock the glove compartment when you want to open the trunk cause that hurts my back
