pure garbage thats 1600w of PEAK power. peak power means nothing. RMS power is the only thing u need to go by and that things only 500w?

i have 2x 12" audiobahn subs that handle 1100wrms EACH and i paid a buck90 for the pair together and they run at 2ohms. so you wanna spend 550$ on a SONY sub that runs 500wrms at 4ohms?

err correction:

dual 4 ohm coils so they can probably be wired to run at 2ohm and i dont know what that would do to its rms handling. i really hope this thread was sarcasm...for 550$ that thing better come with secks

head unit is alpine, amps are diamond audio D9(hoping to finish my amp rack today or tomorrow check my sig), the speakers are diamond audio hex and the subs are 4 - 8" Mb quarts. Current update is at cardomain.

And please don't think I am really putting your equipent down, it was just a joke. It is not the best stuff and certainly not the worst. I am happy that I can afford more at this point in my life but understand how budget effects the decision making process. After installing for 15 yrs I cannot stand to put time into a system that I know will fail with in a few years. I am building mine to last at least 10 yrs as I do not plan on sellin it.

 

eh i dont really care even if u were. they sound aight to me and i got em dirt cheap and they've lasted me over a year now playin hard every day (except these past 2 months - my 500$ eclipse HU got jacked out of my old car, then i sold it so my subs have just been sitting in my room for a while).

btw where was that thread of yours, is it on your car domain? (the one that shows u how to install a new deck and use the mach460). i dont have the cash to replace the HU, speakers, and amps all at once right now so ima throw my deck in, replace the amps, then replace the speakers
