Hello,
91 GT Convert.
Air bag light has suddenly started flashing on the dash. It flashes six times with a pause then starts again. No accident or anything.

Any info on this problem?

My wife had the exact same problem with her 99 Explorer Sport. We took it to the dealership and they ran a diagnostics and said a contact for the air bag, in the steering column, had gone bad. They replaced it and all worked well after. I don’t remember the cost of repairs. I don’t remember it being much though. Hope this helps.

 

same problem on my 94 the dealership said it would cost like $150!!![:@]
