Default converting shaker 500 to shaker 1000

i have a shaker 1000 in my car but i am taking it out to put some kickers in. unfortunetly theres no carpet under the shaker 1000 sub box...so i plan on snaking the carpet out of a friends. she has the shaker 500 and it has a full carpet. im thinking i can take her carpet because i want mine to look more snazy. but i will put my subs in hers. so how hard is it to convert her shaker 500 to a shaker 1000? also, will it hurt my car electrical system taking it out? or effect the speakers?

thanks..

I am willing to bet the wiring will be the same with only a couple of small possible differences. There was no difference in the alternator available so there should be no electrical problems.

but what about the amps and stuff? do you think the head unit has an empty sold on the shaker 500 that a harness plugs into normally on the shaker 1000? so the shaker 1000 can plus in. then simply plug into the amps that have wires connecting to the sub box? something like that sound possible? i need to know!

Well a break down of the two; The Shaker 500 system has 8's in the doors powered by two mono channel amps mounted above the drivers kick. The Shaker 1000 is the same as the 500 in wiring and everything except it has two 10's in the trunk powered by a 400 watt amp. So if I were to take a guess, I would say that on the back of the radio the plug is probably there; as for the wiring for/ to that other amp; I highly doubt it would exist in the vehicle and it probably would not be as easy as just 'plugging' them in by looking at the way the mach systems are wired. Just a guess tho.

**Edit spelling...

I keep hearing that Ford used the same wiring loom regardless of options fitted so, by that at least, the wiring should be there. Pull the kick panel away & have a look to be sure - taking the dash apart to get to the head unit only takes 15-20 minutes or so & isn't hard so you could do a side by side comparison.
