Default 06 shaker 500, aux input

For an 06 with shaker 500, what works to connect satelite radio and ipod short of replacing the head? Reading threads here, it seems like some aftermarket connectors for the aux input cause problems. Anyone want to make a recommendation?

Thanks,

i've been searching for a PeripheralElectronics replacement . that unit f**ked up my car's computer. good thing it was only temporary glitches and nothing permanent. How about trip tunes? i'm talking about the one that connects directly to the antennea plug in the rear of the stereo. i know its not digital but does it work better than those other crappy fm transmitters on the market that produce more static than music when driving? i dont think the trip tunes advance works with our '06 stereos. i dont know why but it says not compatible with 05-06. pretty lame.

I havent tried this yet, but someone here sent this to me a while ago. From what I am told this works great and allows use of the "AUX" button. Only issue I see with this is where the hook up point would be, I was thinking of running the input jack thru the cup holder or the consol.
