stereo insall kits
that is because there is no kit for your car, there is a reason the factory radio is still in the car. When the car was assembled, they mounted the radio to the dash, then the dash to your car. To get the stock radio out you either need to take the entire dash out, or else take out the center consol, and loosen the screws in the dash enough to "flex" the dash forward and up. One person normally has to pry like heck on the dash, while the other person is on the floor trying to wiggle the radio out from around the wires and AC ducts. This car is honestly an installers worst nightmare as once the deck is out, then there is the chance that the wiring is common ground and requires some rewiring. And there is NO kit for your vehicle since you will need to cut the front of the dash and then front mount the radio to the dash.
Sorry brother, I am sure you were hoping for good news but I got none for ya... Go to a couple of shops but I would not necessarily take the lowest bidder with all the work to do on it. You may be honestly looking at a couple of hundred bucks in parts and labor to have a good shop do what they need to to it since it could take a few hours.... This is a car that some shops will turn away due to the amount of work that needs to be done or else will quote you a price they think you will not take.
This is not a job I would take to a big box shop, this is too custom for them

Gotta chop the dash for a din size radio, god i hate 2shafts. +1 on the pain in the azz, and for your knowledge common ground means all the speakers negitive go to ground, not how an aftermarket radio is designed to work (not good for it), so you either have to get a pac adapter or better off just replacing the speakers and running new wires to them. Have fun with that one, the only car that sucks worse is 1989 chevy celebrity.
