Default Will it fit?

Finally decided im going to put my stereo from my old Camaro in my Mustang. Going to have a Alpine CDA-7977 Head, MRV-F407 for the door and rear speakers, MRV-1507 for the subs in the trunk. Now what I am asking is will I be able to fit 4 Alpine Type R DVC-12 Subs in the trunk? If anyone here has put 4 12" subs in the trunk could you post some pics of how you laid them back there and if you had room to still fit the amps in the back. I was measuring off the trunck tonight and so far I think I can put 2 subs against the back of the rear seat and take the other 2 and put one on each side of the trunk facing sideways. I really would like to be able to fit the amps in the trunk but my sub amp is pretty big.

Edit: Subs will have to be in a sealed enclosure.

Should be able to fit the 4 12" subs in there but not a whole lot else (also depending on what air space your subs need).
You can give yourself a lot more room to work if you remove the sound board (if you have a mach460 system).

Problem I always ran into was figuring out how to get the box into the trunk(more space in there then opening to fit it in), might have to partaly assemple the box in the trunk.

Here is a picture of mine. I had to build the whole thing in the trunk. Mine are only 10's, and I currently have only 2 in there, with space for 2 more on the sides. I took my spare and jack out, so I could use the space down there for my amp. You can see on the picture towards the bottom, I have a plexi glass window to my amp. I put some locks on it to reduce the chances of it being stolen. I tried to take a picture, but since the sun is out, it turned out like crap. Anyways, hope it helps.

wow four??? i fit 2 12's in mine but i dont know about 4. Sell the other two and get a big amp. You wouldnt have a trunk if you put 4 12's in, however Ive never seen 4 12's in a mustang...

Thats exactly what im thinking of doing Shadow. I think to be able to fit all 4 back there and get enough air volume in the boxes im going to have to make the box out of fiberglass. Actually im goin to have a stereo shop make the box for me. Just dont like having to leave my car with them for 3-5 days for them to do it.

Dont need to sell the other 2 subs for an amp. Going to use a 1000 watt alpine amp to run all 4. Since the subs are DVC's I can wire all four into 2 channels and keep them at 4 ohms. But if I do change my mine later on all this stuff will be up for sale.

Sounds awesome! You'll have to post pics once completed, and also let us know how much it cost. I understand how you feel about leaving your car at a shop for long periods of time...I hate taking mine to an oil/lube shop for them to change the oil for one hour, let alone 3-5 days!!! Good luck...
