Default Car Audio question

i am buying a sony xplode 10" sub and a kicker 600 watt amp. i have the stock radio in my car and i dont really want to buy a new one. i know i need to buy this -> http://www.sjgreatdeals.com/sisloc80.html
a line out converter but do i need to buy a toggle switch to turn the amp off. i have seen some guides need these and others dont.

p.s.
my car is a 2002 v6 mustang
mach stereo system

edit:
nvm i guess i can wire into ignition to set amp to turn on and off when the ignition is turned

When they say Xplode, they mean it.

the kicker amp more then likely has a high level input section built into it. I would try it and see if there is noise before going with an loc.

All you need for the remote turn on is a +12v switched wire that can be found at the fusebox or behind the radio. You do not want a switch unless you want to add one, it is a super "custom" install to some people...

If yout alking about the sub being $15, you could have had a much better 12" for $13. Smoke that Sony day in and day out, not to mention with a 5 year warranty.

You don't, well you can't actually.

LOC or you need an amplifier and your head unit needs rca pre-outs.
