Default Redoing Everything, Any Hints?

I have had alot of problems with this stereo. I plan on pulling everything, and tracing it all back to the deck. Then, i am going to see what works.

The deck pooched, the rear speakers are bairly in, and arent wired up, and no idea aobut the doors. I plan on doing it right. As in fusing everything, and no subs haha.

Do you have any tips as far as pulling it all out? Like what to watch out for?

Thanks alot.

Disconnect the battery and take your time. Make sure all the grommets are out for body panels and such (bad personal experience) AND TAKE YOUR TIME!!!! Thats all. Not much to really look out for in removing equipment. Depending on the year, some of the clips are a PITA.

what problems are you having? If it is wired badly and you wire into it then you may have the same problem with the new stuff.

I am pulling the wires man. Traceing it out from under the seats and carpet and all. redoing it ALL.

The speakers in the back are seriously hanging, the wires for the back speakers are loose, there about 7 inches hanging and that it. I have no idea where here supost to go!

I am going to pull it all. Maybe not the fronts. Ill see if there ok first.

I didn't take my time once and ended up breaking off a piece of a interior panel because i didn't notice the grommet holding it in. What year and type is your car? I would check someone's car out. I have an '03 GT convertible, so i can help you with placement for those things. The rear speakers you can just pull out and leave out. You don't need them. Read up on staging and creating a nice front stage, that will explain why you won't need them. If you are gutting the ENTIRE THING, then there is really nothing to be careful about, just label the wires going into the head unit.
