I think you need to turn the sub output on with the 9885, I think that is the one I have.....

menu
setup
audio
sub-on
subwoofer system #2
and then you can go to the bass engine to tune it.

hey ttocs, I have done that, made suresub was set to on, then changedto either woofer system, and then went to the bass engineto see if it was my problem however it is still not registering.

Well if they kick when you make the connection, seems everything is wired and power and ground are all good...

What is that R- R+ connection in the third pic from the bottom, and why are two wires coming out of one, but none out the other? And are all those wires supposed to be not connected to anything in the 3rd pic from the top?

hey joey sry just realised those are some pictures i took and forgot to swap the wires back i was just messing around with them trying a bridged connection, thers now one wire in each of the terminals. - to - and + to + of course, and the other picture was when I wasnt quite done cleaning up my install the blue one is power antenna which i dont have and the orange ones are + and - illum which i chose not to hook up.

Well i had my head unit tested and it check out perfect working condition, only thing left is my amp, im running 2 12" Jl w3v2 4ohm, dual voice coil subs hooked into a 2 channel kicker 250.2 amp, now the amp was sitting for about a month could this have anything to do with my problem?

You need some zipties for your wires up front my friend.

Unless your amps bad, or the on board fuse on the amp is bad.

I dunno man, im tired as hell though, maybe im over looking something........... [:@]

haha yeah i know seight like i said that was before installation of the HU was finished its all nice and tidy now, how ever yeah im guessing my amp is the culpret, i have the subs wired to the amp like in this link http://www.crutchfield.com/learningc...F4%2Dohm%5F2ch

and honestly its really the only thing left that i didnt know how to check if it was bad or not

Voltmeter to the amps outputs, ideally you would want to do this with a test tone, but you can still check with a song with somewhat constant bass.

Turn it to volts, and turn it up to a medium, to medium-high listening level see what you get.

10 volts reading means you have around 100 watts output, 15 volts, 150 watts etc...

You did check your amps on board fuse right?
