New HU and Amp/sub problem
Oh ok, well another thing, which may be easier, would be to get a friend that has a system set up in their car. Then hookup an RCA to RCA connector(available at radioshack or the like) then plug another set of RCAs to that and then plug them into your amp. If your amp then works you can do the same thing but connect the RCAs coming from your headunit to your friends amp.
Won't give you a definate answer of whats wrong, but will help narrow it down and put you in the right direction.

alright thanks PReal I guess ill probably order from ikesound then, always seems when you go to upgrade one thing you have to do another thing as well because it breaks mid install haha.
IF the INPUT to the amp was bad you could still have 0 on the outputs. I really do not use a meter to check an amp. Have you tried a different audio source plugged into the amp? IF you have an mp3 player with a headphone-to-rca adaptor you can use that.

yeah hey ttocs i tested ac voltage to after consulting the amp manual aswell and it has nothing at all coming out. and Deep im about an hour away from philly the stang is currently undergoing a rear rotor and caliper upgrade so its kinda out of comission atm.

well I threw away any old speaker i had and I dont have an mp3 player i know i know i dont wanna talk about it, so looks like im sol as far as testing it that way, I called CC there only like 15 min away and they dont do bench testing there anymore so im kinda screwed in that department as well. I mean the subs give good ohm readings and I had the HU bench tested and it checked out in perfect working order, really the only logical thing is the amp is some how just dead as far as any input or output singnals. I mean correct me if anything I said is wrong ttocs you seem to be an expert on the subject.
anything with rca outs will work to test the amp. home cd player, vcr, dvd. just plug it in and hook up the rcas. hell just touch the end of the rca cords with you hand the subs should hum a little. you said you tested the hu and the subs what about the rca cords? they go bad sometimes. your hu has front and rear out also, did you try usingthem?
He was just saying if you have any audio device that has a headphone output, go to an electronics store grab a mini-rca wire, test it out and return the wire if you want. We just kinda wanted a second source to make sure the signal from the deck wasn't junk instead of "guessing" its a bad amp, cause it may very well be that the rca output on the amp is shorting or basically junk, it would explain why you can simply just get a pop but no actual music...
I'd hate to just toss that amp, if you really want to though, mail it to me if you plan on just tossing it and buying a new one. I'll tinker with it.

Yeah like I said seight I know the Deck works because I tested it at tweeter electronics as well as on a friends car with the same HU and it works with his, I just bought some new RCA's just in case and that wasnt it wither, tested the woofers and they read good ohms. But ill try and get an audio device, and maybe I can get a headphone to rca connector at walmart real quick just becuase i have to run to get gas tonight before I have to go to work tomorrow and theres a walmart next to the gas station. But no radio shack open at 11pm haha
