Personally, Id stick with Alpine or JVC stuff. Alpine probably makes the best headunits with a lot of manual settings. Speaker wise...Infinity Kappa series, Polk DB series, the Kicker speakers are pretty good and alsotheAlpine Type-R's or Type-X's are some of the best on the market. Subwoofer wise, I WOULDNT recommend JL just because they are overpriced HOWEVER they are clear, the Infinity are pretty clearalso. Two of my friends have Alpine subs, ones a Type-R which is really crisp and with 500 watts rms itll give you bass..my other friend has a Type-X which is one of the best on the market with 1500 watts RMS and 3000 peak. Myself, I have a 10"Sony Xplod which happens to bepretty loud in a mustang however its not too clear even for a sealed box. UltimatelyId recommend a Kicker L5 butthey amp and sub together is close to a grand, but a Kicker Comp-VR is pretty loud and also clear but not as clear as an L5.
P.S. I work atCircuit City in car audio..[8D]
