About twenty minutes, everything pretty much pops out and then theres I think two screws you take out and then the stock headunit slides out.

I don't want to hijack your thread, but I'm in a similar situation with my setup.
My stock 6 CD changer unit broke on me months ago. I bought a Pioneer head unit and the way I had it installed, not realizing I needed that extra cable to have the Mach system amps work, right now my amps are useless. If I get that cable/harness will it sound at least like stock? Or should I go another route and get an aftermarket amp/sub?
Again, sry if I hijacked the thread, this has been nagging me for months now.

Itll sounds better, the aftermarket has more power going to the speakers even with the amps and also your Pioneer has more settings to play around with to get the sound you like. If Im correct, if wrong correct, but eventhe Mach 1000 has an 80 watt amp in the radio where as your Pioneer might have 45x4. You do the math. However, a sub and amp would be ideal for bass and then the crossover in your Pioneer will block the bass to prevent distortion. Then even better is an aftermarket amp for your speakers.
