This would be an awesome setup...

HU - http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4951$209

Front Comps - http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=3341$199

Amps - 2x http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_...products_id=47(I have used these for subs and comps, you need to closely watch your gains on the comps)
Sub - http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_...products_id=35

If you buy the amps and sub together you get a 15% discount and the price is $575

That puts your total right at around $1k with wiring and building your own box and will sound amazing. Build a sealed box to ED sepcs if you want great sound quality or put it in a ported box for more volume and still good sound quality.

thanks preal for your time and advice! I'll be picking up the Eclipse CD3100 this week from crutchfield "they have it for 199 shipped with all those extra goodies" Then i'll grab those components, what do you mean by "watch your gains" with that amp?

That amp is underrated at 200 per channel (it puts out closer to 250).

You will need to set your gains rather low, or you could save some money and just buy one Nine.2x and one Nine.2.

Type B stock in the search and you can get even better prices on a nine.2 and a nine.1, and possibly also get another sub.

Just get a 4 guage wiring kit that distributes into two 8 guages.

THey have some super cheap ones at walmart or you could buy one like this. http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/6007
