Default problem with amp HELP

i had just relocated my amp yesterday and took it off the box and moved it to the carpet and it started to overheat and blew the fuse in my wiring, after i replaced the fuse only one sub would work but i then moved both wires to one port of the amp and then they both worked great, did i fry part of my amp? or can it be fixed?

It sounds like you might have burned up a Mosfet and killed a channel on your amp.

Check your wiring and voltages to make sure you are wired correctly.

You best option would be to use a volt meter with everything hooked up and see if you get a signal from your channels. After you have done this and still no luck carry the amp to a local audio shop or a best buy and have them take a look at it. What kind of amp and subs do you have?

That is a resistor and you will not be able to just stick it on there. You need to remove the board and resolder the connection.

please do not go to best buy. There are a COUPLE of ok installers in their 10000's of locations but otherwise they will hire almost anyone.
