Default is this a decent H/U?

I'm not looking for the best, and i would like to keep it around $500. Really would like a multimedia H/U since i am often driving on long trips. As long as this isn'ta terrible piece of equipment or is seriously lacking in capability, then i would most likely take this. Thanks for any input.

I don't know about that particular model but I've always had really good luck on other JVC head units, all mine have lasted a long time

I have had a jvc in my truck for years and never heard anything good or bad about them.

My choices on decks
1. Eclipse
2. Pioneer
3. JVC

Just want to mention this im looking to sell/trade my CD7000. I bought it directly from Eclipse, things virtually perfect, have "clear sheild" across the screen (product you put on your front bumper and hood and it protects it from rock chips, really tough stuff), so theres not a single scratch on the faceplate. It has the hookups so you can connect the GPS box and have nav right there. Not as cool looking as a fold out unit, but a hell of alot cheaper. Not to mention it's one hell of a head unit with all the other features it has, plenty of audio customization. Let me know if you want to trade say maybe, those EHQS 12's and some cash???

ooooooooo sounds good....... what are you thinking?

me to you - (2) EHQS 12's, $100, shipping for subs and for H/U
You to me - H/U

How's that sound?

I'm going based on CartronixPlus price of $300 for a brand new one with free shipping. Let me know if i am way off base.
