Why the hell do you want a dash screen? Unless you are building some complete over the top show car its a waste of money and your better off spending the same amount of money on a good head unit. You sound kinda like a kid I went to school with. He thrived on attention so he put a flip out alpine unit in his beat *** Acura. At the end of the day, he was still an ******* and it was cool for about a week. Buy a Normal high quality head unit if you actually care about sound quality instead of attention.

And Make it SUB singular. That is a 200 watt amp at 4 ohms. I installed a JL10w3 and A1400 amp in my car, putting out 320watts RMS @ 4 ohms and it is plenty of bass for my car, it makes the car rattle with a modest gain setting and bass turned to a medium setting. Everybody is hell bent on getting two subs to be like wow look what I got!!! But put tons of power behind one good one and your a step ahead of the game because Im lugging around 1/2 as much weight and I have more trunk space than if I put in some box with 2 subwoofers. Also, Im a big fan of buying subs in boxes matched from the manufacturer because the box will be "perfect" for the sub if it is from a legit manufacturer.

I dissagree compleatly. 99% of manufacutures make sub enclosers that will fit in most vehicles and or fit in specific locations like MTX thunderforms. They dont make "ideal" enclosers for there subs if they did they would have to make a box for every sub they make. There are so many variables to building the right box, like T/S paramiters of the woofer, size of the woofer, avalable space, tuning frequency, ect. In all my years in car audio i have yet to see a prefab box that would preform like a well desinged custom box.

I should have clarified. Yes, Im sure a better box COULD be built for a sub than is sold with the box however do you honestly believe this kid is going to do through the girations of building a box tuned to a specific frequency, as opposed to getting some MDF and screwing it all together then stabling some cheap carpeting to it?

I would have to say that the boxes sold with subs packaged in them (IE JL) are manufactured to work well with the individual sub woofers and will 19 out of 20 times work better with a sub then buying a driver individually and slapping it in some generic off the shelf Qlogic box.
