Default Avic-D3 install questions

ok i got my avic d3 and have some questions.

Firstly, the illumination wire, i have the metra harness that is said to be needed in the tutorial, now the illumination wire off the top of my head is orange with white strip. Now the illumination wire controls like the color of the buttons on the D3 correct, like where you change them in that menu, correct?

I see in the tutorial it says something about wiring it to the switch behind the light switch for the headlights, i want the color of my buttons set to red and to be on red all the time. If i want them to be red all the time can i wire the illumination wire from the headunit harness to the metra harness?

Next the yellow with black stripe mute wire is not in the same spot as in the D3 tutorial.

My mute wire is located there where the green dot i made is, for whatever reason. Do i need to move it to the spot where it says to in the tutorial, aka top farthest right?

if you want your buttons illiuminated any time the deck is on(verses only when the lights are on) then connect the dimmer wire on the deck to the red +12v switched wire. The only bad point of this is that the lights behind the buttons will wear out faster, since they are on more.

I have not bypassed the motions sensor myself, can't help ya there.
