If your top doesnt work (go down or up) then the motors gone and you'll have to get a new one. I had the same problem with my old 85 5.0. As far as the speakers go youll have to take the whole door panel off. You just get a flat head screw driver stick it inside the window switch panel (theres a little whole on the top) youll see it. The it will pop off unscrew the wiring harness then grab the sides of the panel and it will pop off but be careful cuz you might break one of the clips on the door. Then youll see the speaker, take it out and pop the new one in, connect the wires to the speaker, connect the switch harness, put the door panel and window switch panel back on and your all done. I did it to my 2003, and it took me 15 minutes to install both door speakers.
