do you really think you needed all that sound deadening for a pair of 6.5" components, that seems like over kill to me, i have the 8's still hooked up and 2 very loud subs and the doors are very quiet, but i guess its personal preferance, i would have maybe put the 6.5 woofer in the 8's spot and put the tweeter in the speaker location, that way the woofer was n a sealed inclosure, and would have better quality
its really not that much sound deadening, and it was pretty inexpensive. and now the doors are extremely solid and the speakers sound a lot better. i thought about possibly putting the mid in the sub mount, but iirc, it seemed like it would be tricky to get taht piece apart and just decided it would be easier to do it where it is now.
Looks good for a newb, real good. I was not big on the x-over location personally but I can understand why you want to show them off. What is the speaker wire hanging next to the 6.5 in the door? Box looks real solid, how did you shoe-horn it in and what about carpet?
Sound damping is always a good thing to do. I like to use large pieces to cover the holes in the doors though to help reduce road noise, as well as to help to help make an enclosure for the speaker. You could take your baffles to the next level and try to make some eclosures for the speakers.

by order carpet I assume you mean go to a place that has a selection that you can try and match? Slight color variations in carpet will make that box stick out like a sore thumb. Find a local trim or automotive interior shop nearby and take a sampe of your trunk in, make sure to look at it under natural light and find a good match.
