What frequency cross over for your subs?
I was just curious what frequency cross over every body is using for their subs and what type of music they all listen too.
I have a Jl10w3 in a JL sealed power wedge box with a JL A1400 amp and currently I have it set to somewhere between 60 and 80hz. Thoughts?

It also depends on what speakers you have.
Ideally the sub should pick up where the speakers drop off.
If you want to set it by ear, download the test cd from this guy:
http://virtuelvis.com/archives/2004/09/audio-test-cd
It has tracks that play a test tones at specific frequencies.
Burn the cd using the instructions on the website, and play it on your speakers with the subwoofer disconnected. Play tracks 17 through 8 in decreasing order (Takes you from 100Hz down to 55Hz in 5 Hz steps) When you notice that the volume starts to decrease a lot, that's when you're speakers are reaching the limit of their frequency response. Make a note of that frequency, and set the crossover accordingly.

the factory sead the operating frequencyfor my sub is20Hz to 100Hz so I set the crossover at 100Hz. My 6.5s drop out at this frequency so it worked perfectly.
