Yea sony isnt that great, My friend has two sony 12's and a sony 1200 watt amp powering them and my Two 10in Kenwood Typhoon's powered by a Kenwood 350 watt amp hit just as hard.
But nothing compares to this kid I work with that has 8, 12in kicker L7's......Yea 8 of them. There mind numbing.

 

i have two 12 audiobahns and i have 1600 watt sony amp and there not the clearest sub but they are insanely loud i can set off car alarms a block away, and the clearest would have be alpine type r

 

I will go with Cadence. Since Kicker went to circuit city i have no use for them sell outs and audiobahn, loud but voice coils sux.
Cadence not many peeps have and make one of the best subs and amps around.

i have cadence in mine and its just wild. clear and hard hitting. JL is nice but there top subs dont last as long as they should.
eclipse is real nice also but in a test we did the titanium 12's lost DB's when put on test 3 months after use. lost 6 per sub. terrible.
Cadence actually gained 3 DB's and so did kicker.

 

04 red is right cadence are good subs especiallly for the money i got an eclipse titanium 10 that is so clean and clear i will never buy another sub

 

personally i think its a tossup between alpine and jl.

but i think jl is way too overpriced. my vote is with alpine.

 

JL AUDIO, fer serious. They make such great subs. Theyre rock solid and you get clean, clear, crisp bass ALL THE TIME. Kicker doesnt even compare. Alpine isnt even close, just no. JL isnt overpriced lol. Theyre priced a little bit more because theyre freakin amazing. alpine is okay for cheap subs but theyre arent dependable like JL....just my .02

what JLs do you have? W3v2s?? i have yet to hear of someone that has used JL that doesnt like them

 

id go with kicker all the way its spendy but it will be the last system you will buy i got a 15in L5 with a kicker 1200.1 and it sounds like a dream in my car..
