White gauge installation problem!

Default White gauge installation problem!

It might be the wrong place for my postbut it's electronics!

This link (step #10)says I can attach the wires directly to the headlight switch, and thats what I want to do!

However, mine gauge came with its own switch. Now I want to cut the wires and attach them like I said before. Should I cut them and where? Should I cut before the littleblack box (where the switch is coming from)?Here is the pic:

the little black box is an inverter that changes the 12vdc to ac voltage. You will want to keep it so you do not want to cut it before that point.
