Actually, just saw that you purchased the subs already.

Get one of these to power the subs (You did get two right?)...

And that front comp/amp setup and you will be good to go!

did you upgrade the factory power wires and grounds or are you running stock wires?

I have been nothing less then happy with my diamond amps and speakers and would recommend them to anyone. The people that do not like them are the people that cannot afford them.

Cool, now what do you guys reccomend speaker wise? Anything better than what I originally found?

All I upgraded was the factory speaker wires, they've all been pulled and redone, we didn't touch any grounds under the hood if that's what you're asking.

For the power wire you will need a distribution block and Crossfire is a great amplifier brand.

Also, how in the hell do I fix the voltage problem exactly. I have a high end battery, no it's not an Optima, but when my battery died last week I had no choice but to get another one, and I bought a high quality duralast (if memory serves me right). I also installed my 200 Amp alternator, it's helped a lot, but the lights still dim, and I do have charging issues when at a stop light, the voltage gauge will drop, not as bad as with the stock alternator, but it still falls. What do I need to fix this problem?

Another note, my current amp is a 2 channel 1200W sony amp, so will removing that 1200W useless amp fix mos of the problems?
I know the feeling my friend, I used to have dimming lights, popping fuses like tic tacs. I went to a stereo shop and he recommended grounding the body. I'm running 2 gauge power, and installed 2 guage ground from the alt to the shock tower brace(holes already there 95), then from the negative battery to the body (there is already a hole there next to the neg where all the other wires are grounded!). I haven't had a problem since, no dimming, no popping fuses, no cutting out at all. GL

OK, here's what I have on the way so far, let me know what you all think, I took a little different route than what a few suggested, however it's all in the same ballpark, I didn't make these decisions easily, I took a long time doing a lot of research to see what was the best buy, I feel like I made some decent decisions.

These are the speakers I'm considering, however I'm gonna get everything in first and see how it all comes together. If my current Eclipse speakers don't cut it, these are what I'll most likely get unless you guys think highly otherwise. The 4 channel amp will come much later on, don't have the time to rewire the hole car back to the trunk to run a 4 channel to power the speakers, but I'm sure the stereo will do a decent enough job for the time.

by doing this your choke point in your electrical system is the factory, 10 awg wire that goes between your alternator, and your batterys + terminal(where your amp power starts). So even with your 2 awg grounds, you are still only able to pass the amount of current that the 10 awg allows.

OK, now next question, how hard is it to upgrade this wire? Do they sell a conversion kit anywhere? 10 AWG is good to 30 amps, and there is no way 1 AWG is gonna splice into that line so how do I get the extra juice out of that thing?
