Default Sirius satellite???

So I recently bought a 2005 mustang GT with the Shaker 1000 audio. I had Sirius satellite in my old car and I had the unit installed in my new one. So my question is, does the Shaker 1000 already have Sirius installed? Can I just call the dealership or something and have them activate it instead of having to use the cheap little unit that I had installed?

The sirius box that they started installing in 2007 is mounted in the trunk and the wiring is run to the stereo from there. I'm not sure if pre-07 factory systems have the necessary "plug" in the back of the stereo or not.

check out this site they may have the direct tuner box, or you may just have to get a portable system and the sirius fm mod (sirius fm direct its called) and just go throught an fm station.

Ipurchased a Sirius tuner off of ebay for $40.00.I got lucky on that one, they usually sell from anywhere from $75.00 to $125.00. The tuner came out of a 2006 Ford F-150, bought the necessary cable fromwww.radiosandmore.com for $60.00 and a low profile antenna off of ebay for $10.00.
Works great with the Shaker 500 system AUX Button. The only problemI had was the cable wasn't long enough to mount the tuner in the truck, so i mounted it underneath the passenger seat. If you wanted to, you could just splice longer wires and mount the tuner elsewhere.

You could splice the wiring depending on what type of cable it is, BUT it will be very time consuming. Mine has be mounted under my seat since I brought my car in 03 and installed everything, never have any problems if that what you are worried about. The only thing is that I have to tell people if they seat in back which is really never to watch where they put there feet.
