Default stock mach 460

i dont know if its just mine, but its really quiet. i had the normal non-mach stereo setup in my old car, and i only had to have it up to maybe 3 or 4 notches to be able to hear anything. now with the mach 460, i need the stereo's volume to be at least half way to be able to hear it.

i used to be able to still hear the cd player even when the volume on the stereo was all the way down (on the regular system), with this one, you can barely hear the cd player or the radio at half way.

anyone got any suggestions on why this is so quiet?

It has been a while since I had everything stock in mine, but I seem to remember that at 3/4 full volume it was fairly loud but it was not uncommon for me to have it all the way up if I had been playing it for a while. I think the amps loose volume as they heat up personally.

i dont know much about audio systems. do the amps themselves have a variable output volume? or are they just 1 level that cant be changed?

the only adustment that can be made is the volume. There is no gain on them.
