Default Protect Light comes on

ok so i hooked up a single pioneer premierto a 1000w amp and the sub is a 400w rms and 1200w peak...ive wired the speaker in parallel, series, and independant and the protect light still comes on...ive bridged the and and ran the amp on a single channel and the protect light still comes on...im guessing the amp wont power it because rms wattage is too low? im clueless guy please help

is the amplifier getting hot when its on. that can cause it to go into protect mode, do you have another sub to try to hook up to it cause if your sub is blown then the amp will gointo protect mode instantly so it doesnt destroy the amp. you can check the sub to see if its blown by hooking up a multimeter to ohms and puting it on the pos and neg terminal and if its a 4ohm sub then it should be arround 4 ohms its ok if its at like 3.6 but that would be what i would do to figure out y its coming on

disconnect all the speakers at the amp and see if it still turns on. If it goes into protect with no speakers hooked up you probably have a bad amp.

If it still does it with the speakers unplugged, unplug the RCAs too and power the amp on. Bc it is possible that the rcas maybe grounding out. I have rcas make an amp go into protect mode by them are grounding out. If the amp kicks on with the speaker unplug then you have a blown sub or if it kicks on when the rcas are unplug you will need to run some new rcas.
