I need capacitor help...
So I have the 460 system in a convertible with a Jensen VM9412 head-unit. When I turn it on i get a small pop noise and when the bass is loud my lights dim a little. My friend told me I needed a 1 Farad Capacitor. I'm going to get the Rockford Fosgate one because I have a $100 gift card at bestbuy and that's the type they carry there. I've looked online for instructions on how to install them but I can only seem to find them for a simple 1 amp system i the trunk. None for a stock system with two amps. Anyone have instructions or a right up on how to put one in?

Caps are a waste of money 100%,your dimming will not go away what so ever with a cap and niether will the pop........
The best thing you could do is upgrade your cars wires with what they call a BIG 3 Upgrade ,the pop noise you are hearing might
be that your gains are just a little high or mayby your Xovers are of a little

x 2. Caps are a small band aid on a bigger problem. The turn on pop can be easily fixed with a couple of different ways discussed in the sticky on the top of the forum. Scrap the cap, upgrade your factory power wires with a big 3 upgrade because that is the chokepoint of your electical system at the moment. If you have 2 awg ran to your amp it will still be limited by the factory 10 awg grounds and power wires.

Upgrade your factory wire just ask said up top and I would recommend an upgrade on the battery too.
For the popping noise. Have you checked if the amp is hooked you to the "remote turn on"(blue/white wire) on the back of the headunit and not the switched 12volt wire (red wire)? That maybe what is giving you the pop when you turn it on.
Make sure your amp has a good ground. Short, to bare mental, not loose.
