Default 6X9 in box

My friend just gave me a great sounding 6X9 in a box with the amp for free! I was wanting to know if anybody knows how to hook one up. I really only need to know where I can get a signal wire for the amp without disconnecting any other speakers. Also does anybody know how to take off an aftermarket HU, when I put my subs in I wired it through the car but my friend wired the HU and now hes out of town.

Thanks,
Tanner

What kind of headunit is it? All you do is take the trim ring off around the face of the headunit and slide the keys(the keys came in the box of the aftermarket deck)in the side between themounting cage and the headunit. Once you do this the headunit will slide right out.

Some aftermarket decks dont take keys but I need to know what kind of headunit and how old it maybe. To know for sure how to get it out.

To put the amp with the 6x9s in you will have to run some new rcas from thedeck to the amp( I would plug the rcas into the rear out on the headunit, if it is open)and also you will have to run power and ground. Then just speaker wire to where ever you are putting the 6x9s and there box.

Well when you take the trim ring around the radio off you will see a spot on each side. You will have to get some pioneer keys and all you do is side the keys in each side and they will lock in and then just pull the radio out. It is just like how the ford keys work(ford radio removal tool).

If you do not have them and dont want to pull the whole dash off just go to your local car audio shop that sells pioneer and there installers if they have pioneer keys, they should beable give you a set or may sell you some.
