you have two options, easy and cheap(if you DIY).

Easy - go to a local bone yard and buy a double din dash bezel of the similar model. IT is a simple bolt in replacement and gives a factory look.

Cheap - cut the one you have and custom mold your new one in. If you know how it is not too bad, if you try to hire someone to do it it for example a local shop I would expect no less then $100.

i been reading that the 01 -04 came with a double din bezel and that if i wan to fit into my 00 i would have to cut some piace of metal that is between the radio and cd player of the 00 bezel?

If you just get an 02 -04 dash it should and nice an easy swap there maybe some cutting where those to bolts areunder your radio that hold the dash on. But same here never done it. And too on the 02-04 dash the tactation, rear defrost and fog light buttons right under the radio too, that doesnt really mean anything for you bc those buttons just will not do anything in your case.

Check out ford for the dash I was going to mod my dash around the radio and checked with them how much a new dash piece was and it was only i think around $100-$120, but this was a check years back.

Sorry dont know the part number.

You want nav.?
Pioneer just came out with couple new double din screens,
Avic-f700bt: It has nav.(no disc, its on a Hard drive), has usb for your ipod or flash drives, Does Ipod video and has Bluetooth, but just Cd player WILL NOT play DVDs.
Avic-f900bt:Everything the 700bt has but more, DVD player, Msn Direct(Gives you gas prices, movie times, traffic).

I like Pioneer Headunits always had them never had a problem, currently I have the Avic-D3 love it, but it will be gone soon and replaced by the Avic-f900bt.

Kenwood has some nice screens, the nav on Kenwood are garmin maps soo the mapping will be better then the pioneers.

I have seen them on ebay listed as radio/climate bezel but I would honestly just check out your local junk yard for a deal.

replace with 01-04 dash bezel, double din ready. much easier than trying to fab a older single din setup into 2din

Im pretty sure we cover that a couple post before, it be easier to find a new dash then making the single din one to work.
