I purchased this for my 06 Stang, and while I don't know a whole lot about Radios and Electronics, the instructions where pretty straight forward, and it was a simple plug in process... However, while it did play tunes from my Ipod, there was no control...

None from the radio, none from the Ipod... I tried several different suggestions in the manual, flipped dip switches, etc... same result, so I returned the product...

Maybe it was just something I was doing, but its pretty hard to screw up pluggin in a harness cable, and attaching an IPOD... and not many options to select to really screw anything up anyways, so I don't think it was just me...

Thought I would see if anyone else had success with this, and or warn people before they blow $160...

It would have been a awesome deal for getting my Ipod Touch to be able to work through my factory radio... but I even tried my old Ipod Photo and it wouldn't work with it either, so I assume it just was not compatible...

If anyone has a solution that works I would be glad to hear it...

 

do you have the "Shaker" headunit? either 500 or 1000?

 

Make sure you follow the intructions to a "T" bc it will not work right if you didnt plug everything you in the right order then, you also have to sync with the system it tells you it on the sticker on the control box(the sticker you have to remove to plug the harness in). I done a got bit of those ipod interface with shaker and non shaker systems and it has worked great. It should let you control on the radio when you scroll to the "ipod" or control it throught the ipod when you scroll it to "aux 1".

Take that back the first one I installed didnt work but the I want back and follow what the intructions start and it worked great.

The dip switchs are for if you are goin to add hd radio, that is when you have to change them.
