Default Radio Error

A friend of mine was sitting in my car and he inserted one of those cassette adapters ( the ones where u can play music of an ipod or sumthing ) . The bloody thing got stuck in it , and when i finally managed to get it out no cassette was getting played . now it just says randomly " error 0 , error 1 , error 2 " whenever i try to play an audio tape ..... what does all this mean ? ... did the belt which rotates the spool break ?

how much approximately will it take to get replaced and if possible could i do it myself ? ...

if it helps i drive a 94 stang , and its one of those players which only have a cassette deck , ( it says dolby digital and Cr02 on the front ) , and a normal Am/fm radio .
