1rst I will correct you for the last time - I was fired for UN-JUST cause. The state ruled in my favor that best buy was in the WRONG when they terminated me. THAT MEANS THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO FIRE ME! I was happy to go as the only question I asked in my exit interview was to make sure I was paid for my vacation time. I walked out of there and swore not to be a part of that place after watching the way it treated my friends(employees) and the customers. When I look back now it was a blessing as after I left best buy I really started to learn how to install. I worked at a mom-an-pop shop for a while as I completed my degree in electronics. I realized that while installing was a fun hobby it was a crappy career that left few options for advancement. If I worked really hard, maybe I could be a stupervisor and still be little more then a peon-bitch that did was I was told. Wear your shirt, ALL black shoes, cut off your rivits! Sell the harness's, what is your conversion this week???? I was just like that and back then and your a corporate bitch and nothing more then a number to that place. They will cut you and replace you with the next idiot when they are through with you, remember bestbuysux.org when they do and I know you will think of me.

4 months before I graduated school I had a sweet job offer waiting. I work 14 days a month, overtime if I want it leave it if I don't, a great paycheck, 401k that gave 12% of my annual salary if I gave nothing, stock options as well as discount stock purchase. OH hell I miss that super sweet worst lie discount now............. Thankfully I work for a company that likes to take care of its employees, something you can't understand right now but as he said I have been on disability for digestive issues similar to chrones disease. Because of this I have been forced to switch my job at my company and I have two interviews this week. I am sure you wish me luck right........

I tried to not hate best buy to respect you but F-that. You have made a couple of personal attackes at me or my install for some time but you have not shown anything of your OWN work that would impress anyone outside of best buy. Up until now I have attacked your company but never said anything about you or your talent. I will not go down to your level to attack your work because 1rst you have not shown anything you claim to have done yourself, and 2nd because I understand that your custom install experience is only half a step ahead of your geek squads head geek. It is not your fault as your abilities are limited not only by best buys corporate code(DO NOT RUIN THE WARRENTY!) but also by the lack of tools materials and not much quality equipment. I understand how it feels to think that you are at the top of your game and that the store can't go with out you as I was there 10 yrs ago. Your wrong and in another 10 yrs maybe you will be given the same opportunity that you gave me to look back and go, "Damn, I was the biggist F'n tool". Maybe you will look back and realize that your install skills were lacking in the over-all relm of installation(again, not your fault) or maybe if you are real lucky, you will be manager!

I was that guy about 15 yrs ago before I realize how pitiful I was looking up to those install tools in the bay as though they knew something.... Quit strokin the installers egos that way, they feed on it and start to think that they are important.

I give you props on your work, or at least from what ive seen. I just think that since your mom gave you the car free of charge, you might have had a few extra funds to work with than what you did. See, i bought and paid for my car, since mommy and daddy didnt see the reason to give me a vehicle. And with that being said i wasnt able to go "all out" on a build that i couldnt afford. So anyway, as i said before ( a few months back), i belive in function over form, so theres not much for me to "show off" from my car. It sounds good, and the "function" is just fine. Perhaps when i start making the money you make i can burn my own, and then maybe get lucky enough that one day my mom & dad will give me a car. I guess if you and Hiss could get each others dicks out of your mouths long enough we could all co-exist in this crazy world. (J/K, dont take it personally hiss04 ) Anyway, i had a thought that we all could start to act our "real" age and possibly get along . And i admit that i also said some things that were far below my maturity range.

This might sound a little harsh but if you skills were not sub par you would be working somewhere else.

An expereinced, qualified installer is very hard to find. I do not work in car audio but I do all of my own work becuase the monkeys that work at the big box stores only read manuals for every car. I also have listened to and evaluated about 10 times more brands of audio equipment that would never make it in the door at bby becuase they are too high of quality for the price.

You must of had a pretty steep discount to be able to afford a type R at bby prices. There are dozens of woofers that can out perform it for the price that bby sells them. I've also never heard one that sounded good. Loud yes, good no.

Finally, if you have an education and are over 25, why in the hell would you work at bby. Unless you went to school and majored in a degree program that has 0 job placement. I don't have anything against you personally, but scott has helped out hundreds more on this site that you will ever aid with your attitude.

I'm 25 as well. I worked at autozone as an assistant manager to put myself through college and now I make excellent money as a mechanical engineer in the oil and gas industry.

Best buy is a bad company and thier car audio department is even worse. They carry mediocre equipment for high prices and get monkeys to sell and install it. I have had to fix bby installs for many of my friends and will never buy a piece of audio equipment there.

If I want to go buy a TV, I'll take a look, but when it comes to car audio they are nothing but garbage.

our car audio is not like our main focus so its just ok but there is good products in the section IMO

we do have some good products (all i buy are the alpine type r speakers and subs which are good) and YES WE DO overprice them but that doesnt matter to me cuz our discount is manufacturer price so i could care less... from a customer stand point our car audio may not be favorable prices but w/e
